This year, Lent ended up being a quiet time of reflection and meditation. I think I just needed some time to regroup and reflect on all the change in our lives the last few years. It has been an interesting few years!
This started with a general concept of promoting stewardship of the environment but over the last few years has evolved into a vision of suburban homesteading that moved us away from modern consumerism.
The journey has rekindled our creative juices, and my daughter and I have re-opened our Etsy store. We have Anglican rosaries, crocheted hats, and hemp bracelets. We’re back to hitting the thrift stores, yard sales, and flea markets to dig for things to upcycle.
I’ve been back to taking pictures on a regular basis as a part of my contemplative and creative practices. I’ve opened a Society 6 store featuring some of my art.
We’ve also had some great growth in our indoor garden. We’re already harvesting our spinach and will be harvesting some cucumbers in a couple of weeks. The tomatoes have show great growth but no signs of tomatoes yet.
What has the Easter season brought you?
